We use this information only to identify returnable purchases, calculate return deadlines, remind you before they expire, start and track returns and refunds, and run the service safely. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use email content to train generalized AI models.
Takebacks' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access Gmail only in read-only mode, only to find retailer purchase and return messages, and people can read message content only with your explicit permission, for security purposes, to comply with law, or in aggregated, anonymized form.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app (hosting, email-data processing, shipping-label and courier partners), only as needed for the return you request, and under contracts that protect your data. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We keep purchase records while your account is active and for up to 12 months after a return closes, so you can look up past refunds. After that we delete or anonymize them.
Takebacks is not intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
